  • Check Brake Pad Thickness & Inspect Brake Rotors

  • Check Steering Freeplay As Well As Loosness And Condition Of Steering Linkage
  • Clean Antenna Mast
  • Replace Windshield Wiper Inserts
  • Lubricate Hood Hinges
  • Check Seat Belts For Damage
  • Test For Proper Functioning Of Horn, Indicator Lamps, Headlamps, Exterior Lamps, Windshield Washer System & Back Rest Lock

Inspection I (Every 15,000 Miles)

 

Under Carriage

-         Change Engine Oil & Filter

-         Check Transmission For Leaks

-         Check Rear Axle For Leaks

-         Visually Check Fuel Tank, Lines & Connections For Leaks

-         Check Condition, Position & Mounting Of Exhaust System. Examine For Leaks

-         Check Power Steering System For Leaks

-         Check Steering For Absence Of Play, Condition Of Suspension Track Rods, Front Axle Joints, Steering Linkage And Joint Disc

-         Remove And Install Front And Rear Disc Brake Pads, Check Overall Thickness.  Examine Brake Disc Surfaces.  Clean Brake Disc Contact Points In Calipers.  Grease Wheel Centering Hubs

-         Check Brake & Clutch System Connections & Lines For Leaks, Damage & Incorrect Positioning

-         Check For Free Movement Of Parking Brake, Adjust If Necessary

-         Check All Tire Pressures Including Spare, Check For Wear Of Tread & Tread Depth

Engine Compartment

-         Read Out Diagnostic System

-         Check Engine Cooling System/Heater Hose Connections For Leaks.  Check Coolant Level & Antifreeze Protection Level, Add Coolant If Necessary. (Coolant Must Be Changed Every 3 Years)

-         Check Brake/Clutch Fluid Level, Add Fluid If Necessary (Brake & Clutch Fluid Must Be Changed Every 2 Years)

-         Check Windshield Washer Fluid Level & Antifreeze Protection.  Fill Up and/or Correct If Required

-         Check Air Conditioner For Operation

-         Reset Service Indicator

Body/Electrical

-         Check Battery Electrolyte Level & Add Distilled Water If Necessary

-         Perform Battery Load Test

-         Check Lighting System, i.e.; Headlights, Parking Lights, Fog Lights, Back-Up Lights, License Plate Lights, Interior Lights, Glove Box Lights, Flash Light, Illuminated Makeup Mirrors, Luggage Compartment/Area Lights

-         Check Instrument Panel & Dashboard Illumination

-         Check All Warning/Indicator Lights, Check Control

-         Check Turn Signals, Hazard Warning Flashers, Brake Lights, Horns, Headlight Dimmer & Flasher Switch

-         Check Wiper & Washer System(s); Wiper Blades, Washer Jet Positioning

-         Check Rear Window Washer Fluid Level & Antifreeze Protection.  Fill Up and/or Correct (Touring Models Only)

-         Check Condition & Function Of Safety Belts

-         Visually Examine The SRS Airbag Units For Torn Covers, Obvious Damage Or Attachment Of Decals, Decorations Or Accessories

-         Check Central Locking/Double Lock

-         Replace Batteries For Remote Control Alarm In All Master Keys

-         Oil Hood, Trunk/Tailgate And Door Latches.  Check Operation Of All Latches

-         Replace Microfilter

-         Check Heater/Air Conditioner Blower, Rear Window Defogger

-         Check Rear View Mirrors

Final Inspection

-         Road Test With Check Of Brakes, Suspension, Steering, Clutch/Manual Transmission Or Automatic Transmission

 

 

 

 

Inspection II (Every 30,000 Miles)

 

Includes All Items Listed Under Inspection I, And The Following Checks And Maintenance Operations:

 

Engine Compartment

-         Replace Spark Plugs

-         Replace Intake Air Cleaner

-         Replace Distributor Cap (If Necessary)

-         Replace Distributor Rotor (If Necessary)

-         Replace Ignition Wires (If Necessary)

Undercarriage

-         Change ATF & Filter While At Normal Operating Temperature (All Except 540I)

-         At Every Second Inspection II, Change Oil In Rear Axle While At Normal Operating Temperature

-         Check Thickness Of Brake Linings

-         Check Half Shafts For Leaks At Flexible Boots

-         Replace Fuel Filters

-         Inspect Entire Body For Rust

-         At Every Second Inspection II Change Oil In Manual Transmission At Normal Operating Temperature

-         At Every Second Inspection II, Check For Clutch Disc Wear

Oxygen Sensor Service

-         Replace Oxygen Sensor Every 100,000 Miles
